Correlation of Socio Cultural Factors in Patients of Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases

Majority of the patients PID are from low socio economic status. Unhygienic delivery, post partum infection,unsafe abortion procedures observed to be linked pelvic infection.The sequele include chronicabdominal pain, infertility, ectopic pregnancy, etc. is most serious complication Sexually TransmittedDiseases. Social factors very important in like age,educational status, marital status,socio religion, type family The present cross-sectionalstudy was conducted Gynaecological OPDs Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Rural UrbanHealth Training Centres (R.H.T.C & U.H.T.C) Community Medicine JN Medical College,AMU, Aligarh.The study carried out for a period one year, 1st August 2001 31st July 2002.
